Week-end February

hello, it's me again. Updating my blog is now my habit and really I thank myself in doing that. Last Friday (that's February 28) is a perfect holiday not just only an EDSA revolution but 3-day off! I spent my time visiting my friend in Pampanga. It's a nice place and the weather was hot and humid: I can feel the sticky sweat in my shirt and unlike in Dasmarinas, it was hot and dry. I stayed in my friend's house for two days and during the stay, we went to "perya" at first night. This was my first time seeing a merry-go-round inside the "perya". People went to "perya" for fun especially the rides, videoke, video games, and the most common gambling games. Not to mention the "water" experience in the next day and also the kids were horse playing inside the room. We also played chess and darts and the exciting PC games. I already missed how to play "Generals" but my friend was setting the game mode into "Brutal": which making me in panic everytime my homebase was under attack. I had wished if I could roam around the place and the wonderful SM and Robinsons malls... maybe next time. Lastly, I couldn't miss the bow tarts that his Mom made for business and also I met the workers who were also Ilonggas. We chatted a lot in Hiligaynon dialect and we discussed about our home province.
It is pretty nice experience for 3-day weekend and probably in April, I'll be exploring another province in the highlands of North Luzon. You know what I mean... :)

Wacky Weekend

Last Saturday, I made myself a mall trip in SM Dasma. It was 10AM and few shoppers were hopping inside the mall actually. I got to walk around first if there was something new items but unfortunately few were on REAL sale but others are just Valentine sale "flowers, chocolates, red clothes, perfumes, etc". For a start, I went to Quantum Entertainment to have shots at the Videoke: yep, you heard it right! Here's the list of songs:

- Beauty and Madness - Fra Lippo Lippi
- Can You Feel The Love Tonight - Elton John
- Broken Vow - Josh Groban
- Say That You Love Me - Martin Nievera
- Hold On - Side A
- Without You - After Image

Whooo! I was in fire in that Videoke room in getting the high pitch but that stupid mic stuttered a lot: it had random loose connection actually. Argh! Score? Naaaah! The scoring system was strict enough. Can you believe I got 99 (average) in all songs? Hah!

After that, I watched movie "Let The Love Begin" and theatre was full "it was second screen". It was a nice movie but the viewers were screaming a lot during kissing scenes and others were yelling "I love you, Richard!!!!!! AAAAHHH!!!!" while they were waving and jumping hoping that his idol would recognize them. Wow! These girls are totally extreme!" I tend to see their attentaion than to see the film: anyway the film was predictable anyway. As I left the theatre, I saw a very LONG cue waiting to watch this film: totally this film would be a blockbuster I may say.

I can smell the sweet air of Valentines and the people "especially teens" were getting noisy and roaming freely inside the mall in the afternoon. Even in food court and fastfood chains, I saw plenty of couples were dating and also some barkadas were enjoying chatting and teasing each other. Some were busy in buying Valentine gifts for their "special" ones (or might be usual ones). While the rest (including me) were just enjoying themselves and were feeling that this Valentines would be exciting and wonderful it should be. For me, well it is wonderful to feel the love in our lives but what my real love is: it is a long-term commitment rather than a short-term feeling. I couldn't define what love is in technical terms but I can relate it to many things: such as...

  • love is patient, love is kind.... {still common but REALLY it's true!}
  • love and happiness grows stronger through time {deep enough? try this logic: life = time}
  • love yourself before you love others {love is acceptance: to you and to others}
  • you can experience love by letting others go: they would come to you eventually

ok, ok, enough for this part. it is somewhat transcendental and it may be different on other's point of view. But for me, I'm happy to love my friends just as I love my God, my parents and my brother: with that this love could give meaning in my life. hehehehehehehe.... Thank you and I hope you would feel the same way too.

My Evening Past Time

Hi there. It's me again and I am thinking to put some write-ups regarding my evening past time. These are common past time that I did at night:

  • Play Station 2 - I still fond of playing RPG and action games. Final Fantasy are my favorite RPG's and guess what I have complete set on those (not to mention the FF Online, I don't have one)
  • TV shows - yeah, I know. Common past time for all of us. I like watching evening news, reality TV shows, sitcoms, MTV, and some tele-novelas. By this moment, I always watch the American Idol at ABC 5, Starstruck and Stairway To Heaven at GMA7, Bubble Gang as my fave sitcom on Fridays, Survivor is also my fave at Studio 23, and general newscast at 630PM.
  • Cooking - yum, yum. I love to cook but I only do it some other time. Pasta is my fave dish. For main course, I prefer to cook Chinese and simple Filipino dishes. Not the least is the noodles: pancit canton, pancit bihon, pancit sotanghon, etc.... I also tried to prepare salad especially chicken macaroni, fruit, pandan, garden, and potato salads. Hungry? Just come at my place and I'll cook for you... "sorry, no special delivery"
  • My own keyboard - my life and soul. Composing tunes and intrumentals can relax me after the days of work: but sometimes I tend to feel sleepy on long plays. It really soothes my mind and soul. You can come in my house if you need a break for some time.
  • Watching movies - SM mall and Robinson is just one 5-min ride from my apartment. If I have some reserves, I ask my friends to watch movies especially at last full show. It's pretty entertaining since you got a very big picture.
  • Watching DVD movies - just an altern for watching movie. When I watch DVD movie, I only watch award-winning movies, some old movies, movies that I really missed, blockbuster movies, and cartoons. Also, I usually set the caption/subtitle ON to understand fully the dialogue and the essence of the storyline.

Evening past time can complete your whole day. Even though you have a bad day, at least you made it complete by these past time before you sleep. Have a great day.
